This summer, I got to travel back to Illinois for my oldest daughter’s wedding. My sister and I decided we’d do my nephew’s senior pictures in Chicago after the wedding. So, after driving 9 hours to get to Central Illinois, we hopped back in the car for another 3 hours to head up to Chicago. Walked around downtown for HOURS and then back to the car for another 3 hours back south. Then, the next day, back into the car for the 9 hour trip home to Wichita. It was a very travel heavy weekend, but oh so worth it for the images we got of Christopher!! I’m available for destination senior pictures, although probably not to Chicago. Unless you really want to!! Kansas City has some pretty spectacular cityscapes, though! For now, here’s a little taste of Chicago, right here in Kansas.
I suppose it’s possible I’m biased, but my goodness – he is quite the handsome young man, don’t you think?
Couldn’t resist taking some shots of my gorgeous nieces while we were there.
Love the hustle and bustle of the city all around him in this one.
A first time every experience with a subway, for all of us. Quick story…we wanted to ride to get a few shots here, and because none of us ever had. So, my sister approached the attendant booth, batted her eyes (I don’t even think she realized how flirty she was being), and totally played the “country bumpkin in the big city” card. We only needed to go one stop to get to Navy Pier, so the attendant let us all ride for free. This was the resulting shot. I LOVE it.
